Sometimes a wrong turn makes life better
When my son and I used to take trips and he was too young to read the map (this is before google maps) we'd often end up taking alternate routes that we hadn't planned on. Did they take longer sometimes, yep. Did we stumble upon some really cool places, most definitely.
One of those super memorable places was in Yellowstone National Park. A wrong on our way to find out hotel room took us to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. We hiked down and witnessed the power of the water and got out of the car. Did I mention its a jaunt down to the lower deck, that also means its a hike up.
In case you're curious, here's a hint from a fellow traveler, pee before you head down the trail. Baby boy was only 5 or 6, so most people will giggle as they pass the little boy the heard complaining that he had to pee SSSSSSOOOOOOO bad. Being a full grown adult is different story. You'll be glad to know that my iron clad bladder survived the trip back up, barely. I've never seen a more beautiful porta potty.
Here's your reminder to try the road less traveled and see what you discover
